ANZAC ASMD Active Phased Array Radar
CEA Technologies Pty Ltd
On December 24 2008, CEA was contracted to develop and deliver a Radar and Illumination System as part of the Royal Australian Navy's (RAN) ANZAC Class Anti-Ship Missile Defence Upgrade Program.
The project had to deliver a capability that would meet current threats and be capable of countering projected threats well into the future. In November 2010, CEA delivered a fourth generation Active Phased Array Radat System to the RAN, the first ever in service anywhere in the world. On 7 May 2011 the RAN successfully completed end-to-end testing of the system with the firing of an Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile.
