Our project has won a Divisional Award do I automatically go into the National Awards?

You will need to nominate your project for entry into the National Awards by completing our online nomination form and paying the $800 (gst inclusive) entry fee. You will also need five project images ready and your 100 word descriptor on your project prepared at the time of nomination.

How do I pay my entry fee into the National Awards?

Once you fill out your nomination form online you will be invoiced by Engineers Australia. You have 30 days to pay your invoice.

I have paid the $800 entry fee into the National Awards for our project, does this include tickets to the national awards dinner?

No, you will need to purchase your tickets to the event separately – tickets on sale in August

Our project has won a Divisional Award, what do I need to do to our project submission to prepare it for the National Awards?

You have an opportunity to prepare a further two page supplement on your project to be presented to the National Judging Panel. The supplement is optional and intended for you to be able to communicate to the National Judges any additional information on your project or further developments which have occurred, since it was first submitted at a Divisional level. The two page supplement must be no more than two, one-sided, A4-sized pieces of paper.

No changes can be made to your original project submission which you entered at a Divisional level. Your Division Awards Coordinator will courier your original hard copy submission, including DVDs and images to the National Office to be presented to the National Judging panel.

What level of communication is conducted between the National Judging Panel and Divisional Judges?

National Judges attend each Divisional Awards event and meet with Divisional Judges to discuss the projects and how they came to a decision.

Our project has won a Divisional Award, do we enter into a specific category at the National Level?

You do not need to enter your project into a category at the National level. Divisional Judges identify the projects worthy of consideration for an Australian Engineering Excellence Award or the highest award conferred by Engineers Australia, the Sir William Hudson Award, to the National Judging Panel. Your project may be considered by our Judges for either the Environmental or Innovation Awards, however the nominator cannot put forward their projects to be considered for these awards – it is up to the Judges' discretion.

I am the winner of an Individual Award within my Division. How do I go about nominating for a National Individual Award?

Your Division will be responsible for nominating you for an Individual Award at a National level. Your Division Awards Coordinator will send your original submission to the National Office in preparation for judging. You are unable to make any changes to your original submission. Please contact your local Division to confirm your nomination into the National Awards. No entry fee is required from individuals nominated for a National Award.
